Old Groves, New Streets
A lot of Ocoee was citrus country until freezes and development changed the landscape. Today you will find subdivisions built on former grove land, older homes near downtown and Starke Lake, and the commercial growth around West Oaks and the SR-429 interchanges. The trees reflect that history: a few surviving citrus and camphor trees in older yards, big live and laurel oaks along established streets, and fast-growing pines and volunteer trees on the parcels that sat empty for years.
Homeowners usually call us for tree trimming to get limbs off the roof and power drop, or for tree removal when an oak or pine has died, split or begun to lean. We bring a bucket truck for height and haul everything off at the end.
Clearing Infill Parcels and Overgrown Back Acres
Between neighborhoods there are still pockets of overgrown land: old grove rows gone wild, lots along Clarcona-Ocoee Road waiting for permits, and deep backyards that have slowly turned into thicket. For these, our lot clearing setup combines a forestry mulcher on a track loader with chainsaw work and a log grapple for big trunks. If you only need the undergrowth gone, brush clean up removes vines, Brazilian pepper and saplings while leaving the shade trees.
After clearing, stump grinding gets the ground ready for grading, fencing or a new lawn.

Drainage Near Lake Apopka
Ocoee's lower areas drain toward Lake Apopka and smaller lakes, and heavy summer storms test every ditch, swale and inlet in town. Leaves, branches and sediment quickly clog them, and standing water then backs up into yards and roads. Our stormwater drain restoration and cleaning work clears vegetation and debris from private ditches, swales and retention areas so water can move again. HOAs and commercial property managers often add it to their routine maintenance before hurricane season.
Timing Your Tree Work in West Orange
Ocoee gets the same afternoon thunderstorms as the rest of Central Florida, and a lightning strike on a tall pine near Lake Apopka is not unusual. Spring, before the rainy season and hurricane months, is the best time to remove dead limbs and deal with weak trees. Winter works well for larger removals and lot clearing because the ground is drier and equipment leaves fewer ruts. Whatever the season, our crews are available 6 AM to 10 PM daily, and we regularly combine Ocoee visits with jobs in Windermere and Orlando.
