Belleview's Mix of Town Lots and Acreage
Within a few minutes of the US-441 corridor you can go from a quarter-acre lot in town to five wooded acres down a sand road. That range shapes what owners ask us for.
In town, it is usually a big laurel oak or water oak that has started to decline, a pine leaning toward the house after a storm, or limbs hanging over the roof. These jobs call for careful tree removal or tree trimming, followed by stump grinding to tidy the yard.
On the edges of town, buyers of vacant parcels want a place cleared for a new home or a manufactured home. Lot clearing removes trees, brush and stumps from the pad and driveway, and we can leave a wooded border if you want privacy.
On larger tracts toward Lake Weir and out along the county roads, owners need fence lines opened, trails cut and overgrown woods thinned with our land clearing equipment.
Sandhill Woods and Fire Season
Much of south Marion County sits on deep, well-drained sand. Turkey oak, laurel oak, longleaf and slash pine and scrubby understory grow well here, and they dry out quickly in spring. When the dry season arrives, brush and pine needles packed close to a house, barn or shed become a real fire hazard. Our fire risk reduction work clears that fuel back, removes low limbs that act as ladders into the canopy and creates open space around buildings.
Sandy soil has another side effect: water oaks and laurel oaks in town often have shallow roots and may develop decay as they age. If you see dead branches high in the crown or fungus at the base, it is worth having the tree looked at before hurricane season.

Planning Your Project
A good plan starts with knowing what you want the land to do. Tell us where the house, garden, carport or horse paddock will go, which shade trees you love, and how you will get trucks in and out. We will build the clearing plan around those answers instead of simply flattening everything.
Before clearing a lot or removing a large tree, check with Marion County or the City of Belleview about any permit that may apply, especially near wetlands or lakes. We can tell you what owners are usually asked for. We also work in neighboring Summerfield and Ocala. Estimates are free, and you can reach us seven days a week.
