From Farm Fields to New Rooftops
For generations, the land around Palmetto was known for vegetable farming, and you can still see open fields along US-301 and the roads heading north toward Ellenton and Parrish. Today a lot of that ground is changing hands. Some parcels are being split for homes, others are going to commercial use, and many farm owners simply want old windbreaks, fence rows and drainage ditches cleaned up.
This is heavy-equipment territory. Our mulching head, mounted on a tracked skid steer, chews through Brazilian pepper, wax myrtle and vine-choked fence lines, while our wheel loader with log grapple moves the bigger pines and oaks. For parcels headed toward construction, we handle land clearing and follow up with site preparation so the ground is open and ready for the next trade.
Waterfront and In-Town Tree Work
Closer to the river, Palmetto's older blocks and the homes out toward Snead Island and Terra Ceia have a different set of needs. Big live oaks shade the streets, palms crowd the yards, and mangroves and salt-tolerant shrubs line the shore. Here the job is usually one or two trees near a house, a dock or a seawall. We use a bucket truck to take those trees down in controlled sections, then grind the stump with our stump grinding service so the yard can be patched and replanted.
Mangroves along the shoreline have their own state rules, so tell us if the work involves them and check with the proper agency first. Trees farther inland may fall under county or city tree rules, and we are happy to walk you through the typical steps before you call Manatee County or the City of Palmetto.

Overgrown Lots, Storm Debris and Brush
Vacant lots in and around town fill in fast with Brazilian pepper, a fast-growing invasive shrub that shades out everything under it. Our brush clean up knocks it back and leaves the ground mulched rather than torn up. After a tropical storm pushes up Tampa Bay, we also cut and haul fallen limbs and whole trees with our tree removal crews, loading everything into the dump trailer so it leaves your property the same day whenever possible.
Close to Home Base
Palmetto is a short drive from our Tampa base by I-275 or US-41, and we work throughout north Manatee County, including Bradenton across the river and Parrish up US-301. We pick up the phone seven days a week from 6 AM to 10 PM, speak English and Spanish, and give every customer a free estimate before work starts.
